THE JOKEMEISTER'S BUFFETS
The Jokemeister is a funny guy, always clowning around. But he's serious when it comes to Buffets. If you haven't eaten at a Buffet lately, then you should know that when you visit one it's all you can eat -- No Limits! -- Stuff your Face until you Die from Overeating!!!! Sure, we see a lot of very obese people at Buffets shoveling it in, but Buffets are not only for Fatties! A lot of thin people frequent Buffets as well. Mr.Whipsnade and the Jokemeister both confess to having a few extra pounds which they probably got from eating at Buffets. But the Jokemeister emphasizes the quality and variety of Buffet Food, not the quantity. He takes only small helpings if there are many dishes he enjoys, or he may concentrate on just a couple that he especially likes. You may have noticed that many Buffets are basically Chinese Restaurants with a great variety. But there are all kinds, so we have a separate category listing for them. And lately, some Chinese Buffets are offering Italian, American and Japanese food as well.

"excellent food with incredible variety!"
(reviewed on December 3,

We've only visited the Super Grand Buffet once, but we just have to rave about it since it features such excellent food with incredible variety! There is such a large variety of food that one really has to think about where to start. At first glance, the Super Grand Buffet appears to be a Chinese Restaurant. It is staffed with immigrants from China who appear to work very hard, and the young ladies who act as waitresses are not only very cute, but polite and efficient. Bountiful does not nearly describe the variety as well as the quality of the food at the Super Grand Buffet. Some of the dishes we sampled, which were all very good were -- hot and cold Mussels, various shrimp dishes including Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, Fried Shrimp Balls, Seafood Scampi; 3 or 4 different types of soup; Spinach Casserole, Pizza, Chicken with Broccoli, Pepper Steak, Fried Salmon, Mei Fun, Fried Rice, Fried Dumplings, Fried Octopus, Sausage and Peppers, General Tso's Chicken, Lemon Chicken, Well-Done Beef (served cold), desserts such as Watermelon (delicious even though it's out of season), Chocolate Pudding, Rice Pudding, and Oranges. And there's plenty more! And aside from the Buffet, you order (either alone or with food from the Buffet) several varieties of Sushi either by the piece or the roll including Eel, Mackerel, Spicy Tuna, California Roll, Philadelphia Roll, Alaskan Roll, Red Snapper, Clam, and something called a Christmas Roll which is new to us (plus more). Those so-called Chef's Specialty Rolls were absent, but the quantity and quality of what's there makes up for it we feel. There are also several varieties of Teriyaki, Peking Duck with Hoisin Sauce and a Scallion Pancake, and Prime Ribs. As I mentioned above, this was only our first visit, but we were so impressed that we're looking forward to going back soon and eventually trying everything.
